~Pointless rambling - you may skip this part to get to the more important point, if you wish~
Yeah, I decided to tweak Charon's design a bit again (been sort of wanting to for a while). While I'm mostly happy with her current design, there are still some things I've been wanting to fix up. Unfortunately I have poor imagination The only thing that I have really been wanting to change was her shoes; they were too much like Sonic's. People have suggested changing her species, or making her looks different from Sonic, but while hedgehogs are overused in the Sonic fanbase, I want to have at least one, and that's her. I also don't really want to make her look drastically different from Sonic and the other official hedgehogs.

I'm really aiming to keep Charon's design quite simplistic; giving her bangs, markings, and anything too detailed just doesn't suit me, and frankly, I don't think it fits her character either. So coming up with a simple yet somewhat original design is difficult for me. Yes, I am going for originality to some extent, but I'm not going overboard by trying to please others with her and do anything I don't want to. If people don't like her, that's their opinion. It's my character; not theirs.

About six hours of coloring & messing around and I finally have a better result! :dummy: Still having troubles deciding on things, though. :XD: One of these may or may not be the final design.

Here are the finalized changes:
-less prominent eyebrows, set higher above her eyes
-lowered the eyelashes a bit
-new shoe design (still pending, may change to something else)
-less baggy cuffs on gloves

And yes, the color pallet is all the different colors I tried for the shoes, but the ones I have picked seem to fit the best. ^^ I'm a terribly indecisive person. xD

I'm still looking for your opinions on these, but this time I'm breaking down the combination with the ears and just doing the quills instead. The ears I can figure out for myself well enough. XD I like how the quills are right now (the long quills on the right), and I may stick with it no matter what opinions I am given, but I would still like to know.

Please, do not just give me comments like "Cool," "Awesome," "Nice picture," or anything like that. I don't mind you giving those comments on anything else I do, but it won't really help me with this particular drawing. I want your actual opinions, please. I would appreciate it. ^^

Well, IMO, the long quills suits her the best, since she was raised in the wild, it's the most possible result of that, and even if now she's trying to be more civilizated, I guess she won't like to take off her long bangs for sure. ;P
Also, I like her look with long bangs~ :love: It just makes her look so cute~:heart:

That makes sense that her quills would be long because she lived in the wild and let them grow. :D
I like her long quills the best as well~ ^^

Yeah, it's like Tarzan (lol) Even if he tried to learn how to be civilizated, he never took off his long hair (and I hope Disney never do that ^^;) And with her is the same, just adding the fact he's way cuter with them~:love:

Hehe, yeah. XD Actually I mentioned him while I was comenting about how Charon looks kind alike of Tarzan :XD: (Not in appearance, just in history ^^;) And everything went into laughs :rofl:
