Happy Birthday, Charon~!

So...it's Charon's anniversary~! Hard to believe it's been 4 years since I've created her now. At first I wasn't going to celebrate it until next year when she'd turn 5, but I made a little tribute to her last year as well, so I decided to do it again, this time with a drawing. ^^ At first I had lost my motivation on Charon and drawing something for her, but after talking to , it helped encourage me more to do so anyway. I wanted to draw something a little more, but I didn't have much time and I didn't know what to draw. I was going to make her hold a whole cake, but I couldn't seem to make it look right and went with a cupcake instead. I had so many ideas of how to draw her, but I just couldn't make up my mind, thus explains all the erased pencil lines. My failed handwriting that I kept redoing didn't help either. ; Hey, at least I made the ribbon shiny and put a glow around the flame. Whoo! It's a good result overall.

Ahem! ~insert cheesy, yet touching music to match a small speech here~ Charon is my little creation that I did four years ago today, and I'm pretty sure she's the first Sonic fancharacter I ever made. Even if she wasn't, she's the only character from that many years ago that I ever kept. At first her design and character personality was poorly done, but over time I have fleshed her out to be more realistic. She's been through a quite a few changes in her bio, and even a few in her appearance. This year she's had the most changes than any other when I redesigned her appearance a little to make her not look so much like Sonic, and I've come to love her even more. I've had some doubts about her, but time and time again I brush them off because I know I have really come to love her a lot as of recently. She may not be the most original character in her appearance, and she may interact with the canon cast and the like fairly often, but I like her just the way she is. This will sound really cheesy, even to myself, but she's like my little sweetheart, my precious girl. I will try to continue making improvements to her, but I will probably never change her too much because I can't bring myself to do it. Not everyone will like her, but that's okay because not everyone can be pleased. She'll never be perfect, but nobody in real life is either. That's why I like her. <3 Happy Birthday, Charon. I look forward to having more anniversaries for you.
