SU Issue 21 Practice Redraw - Inked

Just a quick redraw I wanted to do for practice. Since I was wanting to get some professional comic boards (which I got yesterday! ), I knew I was going to be working with a lot bigger space, so to start out, I tried practicing on larger sketch paper to try and get used to it. This was drawn on a 11 x 14 sketch pad. It definitely did give me more room, and the comic boards will probably give me even more. I hope to try using the boards now, even though I'm nervous. XD

There's nothing terribly special about this redraw since I didn't change up much of anything from the original. I'm not sure if I will color it; I wasn't even sure about inking it. I just wanted to do it as something quick. I think this is actually, surprisingly one of the fastest pages I did, for both sketch and inks! The sketch maybe took around three hours, and the inking probably took 3-4 hours, so I'm guessing it took around seven hours total.

I think the way I drew Blaze looks more like she's feeling ill rather than "facepalming" to me. xD; I tried to change it by bringing her finger up over her face a bit more. I think I need to practice more with drawing clouds, too. I can digitally paint them, but drawing them is harder. Haha, but I hope it looks all right otherwise.
