Thyme and Rosemary Designs

Finalized concepts of a meerkat husband and wife. Started creating them about a month ago. They are Pepper's parents! (Pepper Reference and Bio) Thyme took some time to figure out a design for (pun not intended). XD It's difficult making a Sonic character look Sonic Team inspired while still appearing middle-aged, but not TOO old-looking. Here are his other concepts: Thyme concepts I also didn't intentionally name Rosemary after Tails' mother from Archie Comics (pre-genesis wave). I had a few other names for her, but Rosemary just seemed to fit the best with Thyme. Also, condiment names for the win!

Thyme and Rosemary are in their early to mid 40's. They reside in Spagonia and run a small restaurant there that specializes in Italian-styled foods. Being the owners, they bounce around between all sorts of jobs, from supervision and management, to frequent cooking and serving to customers. They have owned the restaurant for many years and they still quite enjoy running it. While it is small, they get good business and have a good reputation as owners. It makes them rather busy, but the positive side is that they get to work together.

Pepper was born to Thyme and Rosemary in Spagonia and raised there. Most of the time, they were too busy with work to spend a lot of time at home raising her. They couldn't always find someone to look after her for them, so as an alternative, they frequently brought her to the restaurant with them so they and their employees could look after her. As a result, she was exposed to the culinary business most of the time. As she grew, she would help out her parents with jobs all around the restaurant. Watching Rosemary and Thyme work in the kitchen sparked her passion in a culinary career, which had ultimately led her to move away from Spagonia and become a chef. Due to the whole family being extremely busy with their jobs in the present day, Pepper rarely sees Thyme and Rosemary, but they are supportive and proud of her for her achievement, and she still loves and looks up to them, grateful to have learned all she has from them.
