My DeviantART Story

Well, I don't know where exactly I'm going with this, so bear with me. XD

I stumbled across deviantArt several years ago while I was on a binge for looking up Sailor Moon and/or Sonic the Hedgehog artwork in internet searches. I don't remember when exactly it was (probably somewhere from 2008 to 2010). I was mostly looking for official artwork, but fanart interested me as well because I would stumble across stuff so good that I either thought it WAS official, or I just thought, "Wow!" When I would go to look at the artwork, I noticed occasionally I was lead to this site.

I didn't understand anything terribly much then since I was pretty new to the internet at the time, but I found it interesting. A couple of years ago, I came across this website again. I found this one artwork of Sonic and Sailor Moon, which I think was called "The Rabbit and the Hedgehog" by ChibiMunkmunk (I wish I could feature it, but the person is now gone from Da) that I just absolutely adored. It was just a casual picture of Sonic and Usagi being good friends; Sonic was rather small and was resting his head in his hands while he rested his elbows on Usagi's head, with her looking up and smiling at him. It was probably the best crossover drawing of the two that I had ever seen because it had such a sweet and friendly warmth to it. I really wanted to favorite and comment on it, but couldn't. This happened a few other times as well. One artwork I loved long before I joined here was this: I was finding other artwork I had seen before, and then I stumbled across the group Anime-for-Christ, which really intrigued me to see a Christian art group with an anime-focused style.

One day, I just decided to join, even though I was never really on any other website except for one, and I was nervous about it. XD But I created an account anyway. Soon enough, I started uploading artwork and meeting people. I remember l0NlC being one of the first people I talked to that I still talk to today. The same year I joined, the other website I was on shut down, so this has been my main site since. Fortunately, I found most of my friends from the other site on here, and I was grateful for that. In 2012, I also met CNWgraphis, who I met just a little over a month after I joined. We become well acquainted over a few months and she quickly became an artistic inspiration, and she was also pretty much my first best friend here.

I've been on deviantArt for over two years now, having joined April 14th, 2012. I've come across loads of amazing artwork and fantastically talented arts, made some friends, (and found some older ones!), and it's also been a major learning experience for me. I have stumbled across professionals and very well experienced artists that I have learned many techniques from and other stuff that I learned to improve my artwork. I've been drawing since childhood, but I never started taking it to heart as a constant hobby until 2008. Around 2010-2011, I was finally figuring out that artwork is what I want to do for a career before I even joined here, but joining deviantART has encouraged me to continue my aim toward my goal of becoming a professional artist.

Oh gosh, there's so many people that have inspired, or just plain amazed me with their art skills, then there are friends and loads of friendly people that I have at least talked to a little that I have fond memories of. I don't think I could possibly list them all. xDD; I don't want to leave people out. I've met many that have been very fun to talk to, and have given me a lot of laughs. Then there are those that have helped me out when I was troubled, and some have just plain helped me out on things like how to do my artwork or give advice on things.

My close friends and nice people I've at least had several friendly talks with, or have just been plain nice/kind to me (sorry if I don't get all of you! ;A; ), and other people that inspire me (even if they don't know me xD)
, and the list goes on and on....

There are so many more people that I have met and insanely talented artists whose work I have been inspired by that I just can't list them all. I'm grateful to have met these people on here and to have learned so much from so many of them.

With that, I come to a close. DeviantART has been a pretty cool website to be on and I've had an interesting and fun experience here. And it's not the end! I plan to be here for a long time.
