Meh, I'm going to be honest. This has happened so much and I recall that last time and the times before that it turned out to be fake. I really don't believe it's real. It's just the same old stuff to freak people out, I think. I don't hear about it in the news either. I really think this would be all over the news and I've heard nothing about it, so unless I'm missing out on stuff from the media, I really don't believe this anymore. Nonetheless, there's the petition in the link.

From what I understand, the people of Venezuela are being tortured and murdered by the minute. Some of the stuff in the video of the journal is a bit rough to watch. Their government is doing everything to hide the status from the news and even attempted to torture the few media sources that tried to make a report on it, if I remember that correctly. So, Venezuela is reaching out through social media in hopes of getting help. Apparently, stuff about Venezuela is spreading around the news media since I searched it up. CNN and BBC popped up in the results.
The people of Venezuela need help to end the violence and senseless killings!

Hey, all. I'm still around and doing all right. Hope you've been doing well. It's been a while since I've made any written updates here. I've still been around on the internet, but kind of went into a bit of a hiatus, from dA, at least, for many months. So much has been going on, and for another, I just wasn't feeling too motivated to post here. Guess I sort of lost interest in dA since a lot of friends, artists I admire, and people I enjoyed talking to left, heh. It doesn't feel quite as it used to, and it hasn't really felt like I thrive here as well as I used to lately. Another fantastic song and message from Melanie Penn, an artist whose work I discovered once through a YouTube ad in 2020 during the midst of all that was happening that year. Since discovering more of her songs this year, I've come to love the peaceful, joyful spirit of her songs and messages. Yet again she's done it with the message of one of her newest songs, "Peace". The message she shared to go along with this song rings extremely true in this age where people are consumed by the mass fear presented by the media as well as by people focused on doomsday gloominess. She goes on to explain about the message she wanted to present and the reason she did this song in an Instagram post: She had become so consumed by fear that her nerves had been shot and she made it a part of her everyday life. Art Dump 2022
It's been a good, long while since I've updated with any art dumps. A lot of stuff has built up since...2019? Geeze. XD A lot of random sketches and stuff. Some are works in progress I plan to fish, other doodles, and others are potential things I might eventually decide I like enough to finish up. Sometimes I find older things I forgot about as well. I wanted to add in some additional notes on certain drawings, but I notice now that DA has also made it more difficult to add individual stash items to organize into a post since the switch to Eclipse in 2020. :stinkeye: Or maybe it's just because I have so many things this time around. But it used to be easier to drag around individual thumbnails and change their sizes to line them up in a row. Suppose you get these without much context, then. XD
The One Time YouTube Ads Did Something Good
Back when everything was escalating in 2020, I was on YouTube and don't even remember what I was watching, but one time it happened to run by an ad that was, of all things, a song. Instead of skipping it as another "meh" thing, I actually payed attention to it, and even now I still say, dang, YouTube--you actually served me well this ONE TIME. The ad was a music video in full length of a song by an artist called Melanie Penn, someone I hadn't heard of before. Upon watching the video and hearing the lyrics, I was in shock--pleasantly--at the message being portrayed. Quite the message of Light and hope--REAL Light and hope. The song was in blatant relevance to the events of that year. It is a message of the Light we know we have to look forward to after the darkness. This song has moved me to tears the times I've listened to it--still does. I may have become a little addicted to this song as well as a few others I've since discovered by her.
