Charon - 2018 Sonic Channel Style

                Jumping on the bandwagon.  Got my own Sonic Channel wallpaper now. :,D
               
                I tried to emulate Yuji Uekawa's latest style for this year's Sonic Channel wallpapers!  I really love his artwork done for those wallpapers, though the sketchy ones were my favorite era of them since they showed Sonic and the gang doing normal everyday things instead of just making random poses.  They were fun. >u<   I've never tried mimicking any of the Sonic Channel wallpaper styles before, so it was a challenge.  I've seen a lot of people imitate the wallpaper styles over the years, and I've always been interested in trying it, though I was too chicken. XD  The sketchy style especially intimidates me.  But I saw so many people trying this style that I felt inspired to try it myself. ;u;

            This took way longer to work on than it probably should have.  I couldn't find any dotted screentones close enough to the official wallpapers to use, so I had to make one, and that took forever. @_@  Ugh, I just wanted it to be done and over with by that point. XD  The dots aren't perfect and don't match the official wallpapers perfectly, but they were taking long enough to work on as is, even with copy-pasting the pattern over and over.  Didn't feel like straining myself even more on them. XD  I also had to splice the different wallpapers together to make the background, so that also took time.

            At least I finally tried one of the wallpaper styles!   Tedious as the process might have been, it turned out well enough in the end.  I can't compare to Mr. Uekawa's awesome style, but I did my best. ;u;  I'm really pleased with how Charon's posing and expression turned out here.  It's been a long time since I've drawn her looking more confident and less shy.  It's probably one of the best things I've drawn of her in a while, hnnnng.  And Charon herself didn't take very long to sketch, so I love how she turned out for the time it took in the initial sketching process.  Sometimes I have a difficult time getting her to look right, but I actually got it here!   I'm really happy with how she looks.
