Description

Something of a little royal family portrait kind of thing I wanted to do. :)  I wanted to show some happier times for Edgar and Celes.  Here they have their second, young daughter.  She is this character: sailormoonandsonicx.deviantart… (I "cleverly" drew her outfit covered to avoid having to make a solid decision on her clothes' color scheme yet. :XD:)

She is named Armistice, nicknamed "Misty", and she takes a little more after Celes than their first daughter did.  At the same time, her near-white fur always reminds Edgar of his beloved late mother, who passed a while before Misty was born.  They are training her up as the little princess, since they don't know the whereabouts of their firstborn.  She was born after a time of many hardships that Edgar and Celes had to endure in their life as king and queen, specifically a terrible war that lasted for many years.  They had dealt with a large amount of loss and pain, but when they finally began having some peace, Armistice came along to shine some hope for their future.  Since she was born after war, Edgar wanted to name her Armistice to resemble the peace that had long-needed to come into the city, as well as their lives.  She was born on a misty dawn, just as the sun was rising and shining its light through the mist.  Celes admired it, and wanted to name her Misty after that.  They soon agreed that it was perfect to name her Armistice, and nickname her Misty for short.

Things grew a lot more calm and pleasant after Armistice came along.  Edgar and Celes were finally able to live their lives somewhat normally despite being rulers.  Misty represented the blessing of peace they had finally achieved in their lives after so many difficult years, but she was also a sign of things to come that they would never expect, something that would challenge them to face the past once again, but she was still a symbol of hope.  With her, they had grown much happier and had their empty hearts filled by her.  She couldn't replace what was missing, but she helped to fill their voids and bring them joy.  She's also a bit of a hyper little thing, so she keeps them on their feet a lot -- exactly what they needed as a pick-up. :XD:  Edgar and Celes may not have their firstborn, but they love Armistice very much.  Armistice is especially daddy's little girl. :aww:  He and Celes never got to have the chance to have that with their first daughter, so he loves his time spent with her, even if she is unintentionally a bit of a mischief-maker. xD

So I just wanted to do a happy and a bit of an elegant little thing of these three together as a family.  I wanted it to be like a royal family portrait but still have it casual enough so they each act in their natural personalities and interactions.  It shows them in happier times that they have finally gotten to have together, and the bond they all share.
